  6. Most of the sounds in these libraries were found on anonymous ftp-sites
  7. on the Internet. The rest were sent to me by fellow M1-owners through
  8. email.
  9. First of all I'd like to say THANK YOU to all the people who contributed,
  10. either by uploading patches to the ftp-sites or by sending me personal
  11. mail. The libraries currently contain 548 patches - this ain't huge, but
  12. it's more than the 100 factory presets... :-)

  14. Some remarks on the contents of the libs: many programs are placed in
  15. rather arbitrary libraries, due to the nature of synthesizer sounds.
  16. Where should one place e.g. 'StringBras' - is it a string sound or a brass?
  17. So often I did what 'felt' right... and I'm sure I often made the wrong
  18. decision. And of course many categories have rather blurred borders -
  19. what exactly is the difference between ambient sounds and gentle synth
  20. pads? Or between synth pads and 'various synth sounds'? And when does a
  21. weird synth sound become a sound effect?

  23. So, feel free to rearrange the libraries if you think something somewhere
  24. somehow went wrong...

  26. The proviso made in the README.1ST file, that all the libraries should be
  27. present whenever you give away copies of this package, is meant to be
  28. 'modulo' any kind of rearrangement - if you come up with a better way
  29. of distributing programs among the libraries, feel free to make the
  30. appropriate changes (of course). I only want all programs to be present
  31. in every copy of the package.
